Joining us through TUPE.

We’ve got you covered.

Everyone deals with change differently.

Change, your way

We know that everyone experiences change in their own way – whether you’re feeling excited, unsure, or somewhere in between, we’re here to support you.

“

There’s no right or wrong way to feel about change.

What matters is that you feel informed, supported and welcome.

People going through a TUPE process often have a range of questions and concerns, and that’s totally natural.

Here are some of the common things that people wonder about when joining us.

When a service or contract moves from one company to another, the employees who are working on that contract automatically transfer to the new employer.

In this situation, TUPE applies (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations) in the UK and Ireland. We have legal obligations under these regulations.

Yes – under TUPE, your job transfers with you.

But, we understand that it’s natural to feel unsure, and we’re here to give you as much clarity as we can.

Your rate of pay won’t change, but the dates that you get paid will align with our payroll schedule when you join us.

You are entitled to transfer on your existing terms and conditions. If any changes need to be made to working hours, we would of course consult with you.

You’ll be provided with a dual-branded uniform, as appropriate to your role, ready for the transfer date – but joining Bidvest Noonan is about much more than a change of clothes.

We’ll be here to support you through every step of the transition, helping you feel part of the team from day one.

Your terms and conditions, like pay, annual leave and working hours are protected by TUPE and will transfer with you from your previous employer.

And, we will honour any annual leave that has already been authorised.

If you have a pension, things can work a little differently under TUPE. We’ll explain exactly how your pension will be affected and the options available to you, so that there are no surprises.

We think you’re going to love it, and everything included in this Welcome Hub is geared towards showcasing what it’s like working here.

We’ll introduce you to who we are, what we stand for and how we work, so that you know what to expect.

In some cases, your manager may stay the same. In others, you might report into someone new.

Either way, we’ll make sure you know exactly who your manager will be and introduce you properly, so you feel supported and clear on who’s there to help from day one.

No – under TUPE Regulations, the contract you were issued when you commenced employment with Asda transfers with you as your contractual terms and conditions with Asda are protected.

Bidvest Noonan does not issue new contracts to colleagues who transfer via TUPE.

Yes – you will have a 1:1 consultation meeting with a representative from Bidvest Noonan.

During this meeting, our representative will answer any questions or concerns you may have, collect your bank details, etc. and complete a Right to Work check, so that you can be onboarded with Bidvest Noonan.

Any support or training related to your role will be provided as necessary throughout your career with Bidvest Noonan, e.g. introduction of any new equipment, etc.

Yes – Cleaning Team Leaders will have an equivalent role post-transfer.

Full induction training will be conducted with all colleagues pre- and post-mobilisation.

While our intention is for incoming colleagues to remain in the same stores following transfer, there may be a requirement to work at other sites within a reasonable commuting distance of your usual place of work, either on a permanent or temporary basis.

This mobility clause reflects our dedication to operational excellence and career development, ensuring that our people can grow, adapt and contribute meaningfully.

That’s completely normal, and we’re here to help. You can find more answers in the Questions about TUPE section on the Your Questions Answered page.

Plus, you’ll have plenty of chances to ask anything on your mind during your group welcome meeting and your 1:1 chat.

We’re here to make your TUPE transfer feel seamless; here’s how…

We’re with you every step of the way.

Joining a new company can feel like a big change, but you’re not doing it alone. We’re here to support you through every stage of the TUPE process, with answers, guidance and a friendly team that genuinely cares.

We’ll be there for you every step of the way and there’ll be plenty of face to face interaction, so you’ll always have someone to talk to.

At Bidvest Noonan, we work hard to create safer and healthier communities today, for tomorrow. And we’re glad to have you on the journey with us.
